Renovator and Decorator

Alongside her art, Leda continued her work in renovating and decorating. This gave her another outlet for her eye and instinct, and allowed her to shape spaces as well as images.

Her company undertook a range of renovation projects, from updating interiors to creating spaces suited to the tastes and needs of her clients. Leda brought to this work the same sensitivity to colour, form, and texture that can be seen in her paintings. Her interiors were not only practical, but carefully considered in their visual effect.

During the years in which she built up her painting and decorating business, Leda painted only sporadically. The demands of the business left her less time for her own work, but her work in renovation and decoration remained another expression of her visual intelligence.
