Professional Career

 In 1947, a year after graduating, Leda was offered a position at the South African Institute of Medical Research (S.A.I.M.R.) in Johannesburg. The Institute was a leading centre for medical research in South Africa, focused on improving public health and advancing scientific knowledge.

There, Leda contributed to research projects aimed at addressing important health issues and improving healthcare practices.
